Number 2 on keyboard will not work

I just turned on my brand new Dell Inspiron 1720 laptop and discovered that the number 2 on the top row of the keyboard doesn't work.  Well, it will work if I press it hard enough with my thumb.  If I touch it normally it won't work.  I was wondering if there is anything I can do to fix this, since I really don't want to take my brand new laptop in to be repaired. I am running Windows Vista.

Call for support - the keyboard is customer-replaceable;  they will send you a  new one.

Yes, just call and if it's under warranty they'll ship you a new keyboard.  It isn't very difficult to replace and you'll be set.

The instructions for replacement should be in the users manual.  If you do not have one you can go to the support options and download the user manul through there.

I must admit when I first read this I was thinking that is weird cause I had a keyboard for my desktop that was replaced under warranty as a key was sticking and messing up the boot procedure and such.  Errie, as it was Key number 2......bwah ah ah ah aha.......
