Over Heating Issue
To Whom It May Concern:
Since I purchased my XPS M1330 laptop, I have experienced issues with overheating, freezing, and graphical display within the first few months of ownership. I bought a brand new computer that has never worked. I have had the motherboard replaced twice, the power adapter replaced once, and the bottom panel of the laptop replaced since the paint was melted off due to the heat. The overheating issue was so severe that it fried the battery that came with our laptop. Dell did not offer a replacement battery and forced me to purchase a new battery since technical/customer support said that bios were responsible for the overheating and could not be updated without a battery present. Is Dell aware that flashing new Bios has nothing to do with fixing a well documented graphics card issue that has required us to replace the mother board twice? Before DELL sent the second mother board replacement I asked them to tell me why is Dell just going to send me another “bad” piece of hardware that has known issues. The technician assured me that the graphics card issue was resolved and I should not have any overheating issue in the future. Within 5 minutes of turning on the computer after receiving the second motherboard, the computer began overheating once again. This is not acceptable.
Every time I have contacted Dell all they have provided was a temporary band-aid, to prolong the evitable.
I have spent well over 25 hours over the phone seeking a resolution with technical support/customer care with no acceptable results. Offering the same refurbished model with the same inherent issues is again- not acceptable.
Can someone please help me, and compensate me with an adequate solution for this lemon?
Thanks

Welcome to the forums :emotion-21:
I'm sorry to hear about your problems, but being nothing more than a Dell customer myself (as are most forum members), all I can suggest is that you try using the 'Unresolved Issues' link at the *very* bottom of this forums page, to see if you can get the problem escalated?
Good luck :emotion-5:
