P vs. T processors (same speed, same FSB, same cache, less power)

Question

Hi All, I hope you can help clear up something that makes No sense to me.   When spec-ing a new Latitude (e.g. E5500) I notice I can choose between very similar processors: e.g.: Latitude E5500 - Intel® Core™ 2 Duo P9400(2.53GHz,1066MHz,6MB) Latitude E5500 - Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T9500(2.53GHz,1066MHz,6MB)   Both have the same freq, FSB, cache etc. I understand that the P processors use less power than the equiv T processor.   So do I get EVERYTHING a T9500 ofeers in a lower power P9400? If so, why would I pay 40 euros LESS for a better processor?   If the T9500 does more, then what?
