PCI Device Problem In Inspiron 1520 - Win XP

Hello Friends,

I've recently purchased a dell inspiron 1520 and i've purchased vista with it.
But, Due to some reason i don't like vista, so installed XP again.
Everything went well, all drivers i've downloaded and worked well, except the audio.
I see PCI Device driver problem in the system, i tried installed some drivers from DELL, but no luck for me. I do not hear any sound , there is absolutely no audio.

I've got Sigmatel 9205 when i checked in BIOS.
I've downloaded some drivers for that too, but no luck !
The Audio was working very well, when i was using vista.

And i've also double checked each drivers twice, whether its for XP only.
But, I did not had enough luck ! So, if anybody came through this problem and solved it., then i'll be thankful to him if he can guide me to get the audio enabled.

Regards

After you have performed an Operating System re-installation, install the audio driver following this order of installation:

a. Install Dell Notebook System Software R161278(click the + sign next to System Utilities). Restart.

b. Next install the Intel Mobile Chipset driver R153997 (click the + sign next to Chipset). Restart.

c. Finally install the Sigmatel audio driver R158235 (click the + sign next to Audio).

Get these all from
1520 XP downloads page

Some posters who used this driver on a different model of Inspiron wrote "... you have to uninstall an unknown PCI device in Device manager first , then install the driver normally". I don't know if this applies to the 1520 too but you probably should try it.
