PROBLEM WITH INSPIRON N-5010
Subject Laptop gets shut down within 30 to 80 seconds after start. It enters in the OS, runs upto 60 to 70 seconds and gets shut down. This happens while in BIOS also, can't operate at all. Initially it remains working for say 60-80 seconds on successive attempts the time reduces and shuts down within 30-40 seconds.

Hi anuppodder,
It looks like an issue with the motherboard. Drain the flea power and check if it works. To drain flea power, shutdown the system. Unplug adapter and remove the battery. Press and hold the power button for 20 seconds. That will discharge the residual electricity from the system board. Then connect only the AC adapter and start the system. You could also try to use a good known adapter to isolate the issue further. For more information: http://dell.to/ZbIDbk
You can also try to re-seat the memory modules and try to power On the system with single memory stick.
