Possible to attach 2 *external* monitors?

NVIDIA GeForce FX Go5200, 32 MB
Inspiron 8600

I have been using both the laptop built-in display and an external and like it. I'm wondering if there is a way to connect TWO external monitors and then dock the Inspiron8600 so not use the built-in screen.

I bet not, but thought I should ask before I revive my desktop machine.

Actually, I do this everday. Bring my 8600 with GeForce 5200 to work, dock it in the docksing station (Dell D/Port) with dual LCD's (1 via digital , one via digital to analog converter) and work happily in dual monitor bliss.

Different people have been negative about text clarity with recent release Dell 17 inch monitors. Are you happy with them? I've been thinking Samsung Syncmaster 712N, about $350 each.

Thanks, this is great info to run one analog the other digital. BTW, I have same machine but the 7200 rpm hd, I think the drive makes a big speed difference over my previous Inspiron with 4500 rpm drive.

I've never heard anything but good things about these 1703's, and mine look utterly fantastic. They easily match the highend SGI LCD display I have.
