Power LED RED????

Question

OK, just to let everyone know, I know which LED is the Power Status LED and the Battery LED.  My Power Status LED (underneath the light is a symbol of a circle with a vertical line on top of the circle) is RED when the computer is off, regardless if the AC Adapter is being used.  when the computer is turned on, it turns a yellowish orange color.  The Battery LED is green when the battery is charging, so I don't think there's any problem with the battery.  No LED's flash.  Sometimes the soundcard plays music with an echo in the background.  Tech Support says to re-install the BIOS upgrade, which I did.  And it fixed the problem for about a month.  Now it's doing it again.  Got any ideas?

Get into the BIOS and do a factory reset??

Not yet,  I don't think I'll have to though.  After I ran the bios diagnostics, and found no problem, I decided to run the battery learning feature.  when the battery ran down and the computer shut off, the red light still was on.  I removed the battery, and then installed it again.   All systems go for now.  hopefully it was just a poorly installed battery from the dell factory and that's all the light was trying to tell me.
