Power adapter not recognized.
I am having a problem with my laptop Inspiron 5150. The problem about the laptop
shutting down is not occuring anymore but now my power supply seems to
not work.The system is on batteries and I cannot get it to switch to
power supply mode. I have checked the coonections. The LED on the power
supply is lighting up but the laptop is still running on batteries.
I get a message saying that" The power adapter was not recognized and that the batteries will not charge" and asks me to change the adapter. But the adapter is showing that it is on and this started happening quite suddenly..
What could be the problem. Is there any way to troubleshoot this?
