Power issues
My laptop purchased on 2010 and my warranty expired on 2011. The laptop is not powering on. I gave the laptop to one of the authorized service center. They said that the problem is with motherboard. What should I do for rectify the issues? I am from Kerala, India

Hello Josemon Michael,
Please contact the Expired Warranty Services for India to get the parts replaced. If you can elaborate upon the issue with the System Model, I would be able to tell if the motherboard needs to be replaced or the DC in Module (the port to connect the ac adapter). I would request you to help me with the following details:
-- When you press the power button, does the Power LED comes up?
-- If yes what is color of the LED?
-- If no, Check Power LED indicator on AC Adaptor (without plugging into the Notebook).
-- If LED on the AC adapter is lit and goes off only after connecting to notebook, then the AC adapter is fine, it is a problem with the port on the notebook where we connect the AC adapter.
