Precision M6500 lid problem
Hi, I bought a Precision M6500 recently. It's a beautiful machine and has the spec I need, but the lid didn't fit very well!
The left front corner clicked down with plastic-on-plastic contact rather than onto the little rubber stop set into the top of the base unit. In fact, the entire left side of the laptop base is slightly bent!
I got authorization from Dell to return it for a replacement machine. But the replacement M6500 has exactly the same defect: left front corner of lid doesn't bed down properly, and left side of base unit is slightly warped.
Has anyone else noticed this? Please look at your M6500 and let me know, one way or another. This will help me decide what to do next!

Things I have noticed:
1. there is a little hole between the D and E.
2. The keyboard is raised in a curved way, so it meets the display when closed.
3. They give you an executable that extracts the drivers, but the program makes sure it is a Dell. However, if you want to use your Broadband mobile card on vmware, you can't because the executable tries to find out if it is ran on a dell.
4. Can't use this laptop as a linux system and want to use the broadband mobile card.
