Printer only prints one document between reboots
Hello, I hope someone can help.
I have a user with a v515 printer connected by USB cable to a Latitude 5530 laptop. He's running Windows 7 32-bit.
His printer will print one document, and that comes out fine, but it won't print anything else until he reboots the computer. The second document goes into the queue and says "printing" but nothing happens. I tried restarting the print spooler, uninstalling and reinstalling the software and updating the firmware but nothing has helped.
What else could it be?
Thanks.

Mr Hansen,
Open Internet Explorer, click on Help, then click on About Internet Explorer. It should show the version there. If you have IE11, then go to control panel, Windows Update, Installed Updates, look for Internet Explorer 11. Click on Internet Explorer 11, uninstall.
Restart the computer, when prompted. Then see if your printer works.
The other option is to turn off the balloon tips for the printer.
Start, control panel, devices and printer, your printer, printing preferences, advanced, more options. Tell it to never show. The problem with this setting is you cannot tell if you're low on ink, printer jams, Etc.

Mr Hansen,
It only happens with the Dell V series printers. Something in IE11 that creates the problem. Removing IE11 or turning off the balloon tips corrects the problem.

I removed ie11 and the printer worked, thanks!
We put Chrome on and that didn't seem to affect the printing. I wish I understood what ie11 is doing that affects it like that. Is there any information about that?

Dear Rick,
I have IE7 64, and the Dell V313W, having the same problem Mr. Hanson described above, I tried your solution and it worked for me. I was nearly at the point of going somewhere and pay to have this problem resolved. Thank you very much for your help and support.

Mike,
Try turning off the balloon tips for the printer.
Start, control panel, devices and printer, your printer, printing preferences, advanced, more options. Tell it to never show. The problem with this setting is you cannot tell if you're low on ink, printer jams, Etc.
