Printer with D/Port Replicator Issues

I recently started using a D/Port with my Latitude D600 and I am now having issues getting my printer to work properly.  My printer is an HP Officejet v40xi and it is connected to D/Port by USB.  It will start to print and then midway will stop and indicate an error but no error code.  The printer has previously worked when connected directly to my Latitude through USB.  I have already attempted reinstalling software and that did not fix the issue.  Any ideas?
