Problem trying to reinstall Windows 8 - Inspiron 15
Yesterday, after I turned my Inspiron 15 laptop off and back on, I got a message saying internal hard drive not found and to try reseating. Well, I tried reseating a few times and no luck. I was thinking maybe my hard drive had failed (I've had to replace the hard drive in this laptop twice already when it was under warranty) but this difference this time is that the computer recognizes the hard drive under BIOS.
I was thinking I could try reinstalling Windows 8. I downloaded it onto a USB from the Microsoft website, and managed to change the boot order to bring up the Windows installation, but it gave me an error when trying to install to this drive.
Now, I can't even get back to the installation screen. The furthest I can get is the blue Windows logo and after it tries to load it goes to a black screen and nothing else. I really don't know what I'm doing or what the BIOS setting should be on to bring up Windows install.
Please excuse the cracked screen, this laptop has been through the ringer (and probably needs to be thrown away).

rhead6905,
Start the computer and Tap the F2 Key to enter the bios. Once in the bios press the F9 key to restore the default settings. Press F10 to save changes and exit.
