Problem with AC Adapter
Dear Community,
We recently bought Dell laptop and whenever we plug the AC adapter it gives this message:
Batteries don't charge as it is supposed and when unpluged they don't last. Is there a solution for this or should we inquire for warranty as these laptops are brand new and were bought via Amazon.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Dear Prateek,
Thank you for your quick reply. The laptop is: Dell Inspiron i14z-8001sLV 14-Inch Ultrabook (Silver), its a i7 processor running Windows 7. The error is:
65W AC POWER ADAPTER HAS BEEN DETERMINED
Your system will operates slower and battery will not charge. This problem might be solved by:
. Ensure the plug is inserted completely for best system operation.
. Connect a Dell 90W AC Adapter or higher.
Thanks for helping on this.
Regards,
Mafene

Sounds like it came with the wrong adapter -- 90W is needed for an i7. Contact the seller for a replacement of the system (or adapter).

Hi Mafene
Thanks for the reply.
You may click the link mentioned below and enter either the service tag or the express service code of your system. Once done, please select the Operating system as installed on your laptop to download and install the compatible BIOS. Please ensure that the battery is at least 10% charged and the AC adapter is connected to the system during this process.
In case issue still persists, Please contact me through a private message by clicking on my name highlighted in blue. On the next page, click the envelope icon and provide your service tag and contact information so I may access your system records and help you further.
