Problem with Logitech Wireless Speaker Adapter
Hi there,
It's been days I'm trying to have my computer, a Dell Inspiron 1721 running Vista, working with the Logitech Wireless Speaker Adapter. There are no instructions coming with the adapter because it's said to be really easy to use, well it's not for me...
The adapter works via Bluetooth. I can connect to it but then it just doesn't work. The adapter is supposed to have a green light on when it's synchronized with the computer but it only gets a blinking green light and then turns off. The adapter works as I've tried it with a smartphone and it was so easy to do.
Apparently it would have something to do with A2DP which Vista doesn't have. (I'm not an expert, I'm just repeating what I've read on forums...). If so, where do I find it??
Any help is welcome as I'm totally lost on this one.
Thanks in adavance

You can find the instructions by going to the Logitech support page. On the left side of that page is a link to the Getting Started Guide pdf which is the instructions.
The blinking green light means it is trying to connect and pair, so it might not be connecting or it might be connected but not be able to pair.
First make sure that your laptop has a bluetooth adapter.
Next make sure that you have the latest bluetooth driver. Go to the Inspiron 1721 downloads page. Select Vista in the dropdown menu. Expand the Network category. Find the driver for your bluetooth adapter and install it if it is newer than your current driver. (Those drivers are from 2007 so you probably already have the newest.)
As the Logitech Getting Started Guide says, "Refer to the documentation that comes with your device for pairing instructions". Dell does not provide those instructions but they are available on the Microsoft site. However this guy's page has the instructions along with screen shots and he is easier to follow than Microsoft. He also explains how to determine whether or not you have a bluetooth adapter and how to configure it to connect to a bluetooth device, then explains how to pair or sync in Vista.
Note that if you need to enter a pass code in the Add Bluetooth Wizard, the Getting Started Guide says to enter 0000.
