Problem with booting

I have a Dell Inspiron 14R. My problem is that this morning, my laptop turned itself off and when I tried to turn it back on nothing happened. The screen is blank though there is power. Via battery or AC there's power just that what happens on normal operation such as the fan spinning does not happen. I'm really hoping this is not an expensive repair, but I would like to get some suggestions before I bring this to the techs. I hope to get some answers. Thanks
