Problem with loading the OS on a Dell Studio 1555
I was having problems with my hard drive and reloading it wouldn't work. I figured to wipe the drive completely and start over with it. The wipe worked and when I put the OS disk (vista 32 bit) that came with the laptop I get the pop up Load Driver. "To install the device driver needed to access your hard drive, insert the installation media containing the driver files, and then click ok". I put the Drivers and Utilities disk in that came with the system but I keep getting "No device drivers were found. make sure that the installation media contains the correct drivers, and then clidk Ok". I have tried downloading the drivers from Dell.Com and place them on a thumb drive but I still get the same error.
Does anyone know how I can load the OS on the laptop?

Follow my wiki A Clean Install of Windows Vista. Download R263958 for stage 6 and extract it with 7zip as instructed. You should copy all the files from the f6flpy-x86 folder which should look like:
These are the drivers you should load during the Windows setup.
