Program Compatibility Assistant/Host Process for Window Service

I have  Dell Inspiron E1505 with Windows Vista (32-bit Operating System).

Recently, I've been getting two errors. The first one being Program Compatibility Assistant has Stopped Responding. The second one being Host Process for Windows Services Stopped Working and Was Closed. These errors happen one right after the other. They pop up randomly... when I first log in, when I'm browsing the Internet, when I'm in Microsoft Word, etc.

When I see the Host Process error, my screen blinks and the bar of the program I'm working in (usually Mozilla or Explorer) turns a lighter color. It looks almost like an older version of the program for a couple of minutes. Also, after it happens, my Internet stops working. It will, however, begin working by itself within a couple of minutes. Also, I should note that it's kind of strange, but I can never see any other networks available since these errors have been popping up. If I go to "Connect to a network," it says Windows cannot find any additional networks. This is incredibly weird because before these errors, I have been able to see many networks in the area. I don't even see my network on the list anymore.

I haven't downloaded anything recently; however, I've gotten two (or three?) hard drives in the past year due to hardware failure. Would this have something to do with the problem?

I'm still covered under warranty, but I'm hoping I won't have to create a case to fix the problem. I really hope there is a simple fix!

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks in advance!
