RADEON graphics won't work

Hi,

Today I bought a new Inspiron 17R 5721. I installed all the drivers and I did all the needed stuff.

My laptop runs on Win7, the OS recognizes both the Intel graphics HD4000 and the Radeon (right click on my computer->properties->device manager = everything's alright here) but when I try to play a game, for example The Elder Scrolls V: Skirym the Radeon won't work! No matter what I do the game still runs with INTEL. I selected HIGHT PERFORMANCE from configure switchable graphics but nothing.

Please, can anyoane tell me how on earth can I use the  Radeon?

Thank you very much,

Where are you looking to determine that only the integrated video is being used?  It's the only video circuit with a connection to the screen, so it will always show as primary to Windows.  All video data - even what's processed by the AMD GPU - passes through the on-CPU GPU before it is displayed on the screen.

Are you certain your game supports switchable graphics?  Not all games do;  check with the publisher - yours may not, or it may require an update or version upgrade to work.

There is some information about configuring that game to work with switching graphics here:

When I open the game it says the game will determine my settings or whatever and it says there the video card used is the intel one.

The link didn't help as I don't have a NVIDIA graphics card. I have an AMD RADEON and Catalyst doesn't have anything like "manage 3D settings", I looked everywhere...and now Catalyst crushed, I reinstalled it and it still won't work...

HI I had a same problem but I solved (after 6 months :P )...

REALLY EASY!

1. Update the Video drivers from the Dell website (ALL VIDEO DRIVERS)

http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/uk/en/ukdhs1/ServiceTag/?s=BSD&~ck=mn

2, Install this ATI driver from AMD website. (AMD CATALYST CONTROL CENTER)

http://sites.amd.com/us/microsoft/windows-8/Pages/radeon-windows-8.aspx

when you setup this new driver you will got a new software with this ... tha name is:

AMD Gaming Evolved .....use this program because this program finding your games on the your PC and if you will started the games from this program, the games will use ATI VIdeocard automaticly..... if you couldt see some games in this what you installed, you could find and add manually....   (2. picture link)

(you can set optimize the "grapichs settings" with some games, and you cant some other games but dont worry .... EVERY GAMES what you will started from this program  its working)

some pictures from the program:
