RAM USAGE (OR NOT ENOUGH USAGE)
I have a dell inspiron N5050 core i5, 8GB RAM but when I run applications like GNS3, the cpu usage runs up to 100% and freezes whereas the RAM usage is only about 2.7GB (that is, about 33%). How can I get the RAM to function optimally?
NOTE: Dell denies me access to tech support, alleging that I don't have warranty. For your information, Dell, my warranty is up to October 2013 (for I bought the pc in November, 2012). I even had to upgrade to Windows 8 thinking it would solve the problem but here I am stuck with the same problem.
Please, can someone help?

Hi chuma-reddy,
RAM usage will not be similar to processor usage. Windows decides the amount of RAM required as per the application usage. RAM usage increases when you use applications like Photoshop, Auto cad, etc.
When the CPU usage runs up to 100% it freezes for few seconds and the computer becomes normal after that.
I request you to send the system service tag through private message so that I can check warranty status and let you know what needs to be done.
