RAM from one laptop to another

Hi all. I am new to this community.  I have a question.  I have a Dell Inspiron 9100 that I bought off of Ebay a while back that has failed on me.  I believe it was all factory when sold to me but I'm not 100% sure.  From the minute amount of research I've done I believe it has DDR RAM but I know that there are different types of DDR for different processors.  I just bought a replacement laptop that so far I absolutely love. It is a Dell Latitude 131L.  The Dell Inspiron 9100 uses the following memory stick:  1024MB-400MHz DDR400 PC3200, 200p SODIMM, 2.5v, Sync The Dell Latitude 131L uses: 1GB Dell PC2-4200 DDR2-533 200-pin SDRAM SODIMM DIMM (p/n 311-3748)  I know that one is DDR and the other is DDR2 but is there any chance that the Dell Latitude can use both?  I have an empty slot and was hoping my motherboard's memory slot's might be somewhat 'interchangeable?'  I know its a long shot but any help would greatly be appreciated.  Thanks!

No chance, sorry - DDR  and DDR-2 modules won't even fit in the other socket type, much less work.
