Random DVD access on Inspiron 1525

I have an inspiron 1525 that is accessing the DVD drive randomly. This use to occur infrequently. Now it is frequent. I've located some old threads that recommended updating BIOS, chipset drivers with no luck. I also disconnected power and battery that was recommended - no luck. People have installed new DVD's with no results. Any new information or suggestions?
