Recieved Outlet L501X - Some teething problems...
Hello all,
I've recently recieved a 1080p LED i5 L501X from the Dell Outlet, I have a couple of small problems that I was wondering if someone could advise me on, it may be a case of 'They all do that, sir' but I'd just like to double check.
1) Pressing the screen bezel around the webcam area causes it to disconnect and reconnect (Can hear the usb 'Unplug' noise and using the Dell webcam software it causes the picture to disappear and reappear).
2) The Blu Ray drive sits slightly proud of the main body of the laptop and protrudes maybe about 1mm.
Are both of these symptoms normal?
Thanks

Hi Toleero,
Welcome to the Community. Pressing the bezel around the webcam can cause that to happen, as the camera cable connector is at the exact same spot. I would say that is normal, and I would not be pressing down on that if I were you. Check below link for more info.

Your Blu Ray player proturding out of the laptop by 1mm should be okay, as long as its getting detected by the computer, and able to perform it tasks. If you think its bothering you, then you can try and reseat the Blu Ray player, below is the link on how you can do that.
