Recovery Partition formatted
Hello.
My stituation is the following, I was trying to format my Windows Vista Dell Vostro 1220 and I forgot, then a friend told me to do so from Windowns and I really messed things up. The only thing that I accomplished was to format the recovery partition of my computer. So now I was wondering how to "recover" the Recovery partition in order to format my computer. I have all my CD's. Any suggestion?

You cannot recreate the Recovery Partition. You do not need that partition to reinstall windows. Just use your windows disk. Instructions for a manual restore HERE.
PS Your friend was wrong. You cannot format the boot drive from Windows. You can only format the other partitions--as you did. You must boot to the windows vista disk and select Custom install to format and install windows.
