Reflash to same version bios

Question

I am having an issue with my C610. It is giving me random BSOD errors and some times on reboot blue screen errors that machine is not ACPI (?) compliant. If I reboot enough and the automatic CHKDSK runs, it works for a while. Then a random BSOD after a while. Machine does same thing  with several HDD installed with backups of system. I have an image from Dec 2004 and it is doing the same as the current system. This leads me to believe it is not software related. I tied to use the C600 Recourse CD dated December 2000 P/N86GJT rev 02 to run diagnostics and it tells me to go away as this is not a Dell machine. -it most certanly is! I currently have A16 bios installed on the C610 and want to reflash it with A16 just in case I picked up a BIOS virus. How do I reflash to the same version level? There is not a newer one listed than A16 and the update utility tells me that the one I am trying to install is the same version as the one already installed.

BIOS name.exe /forceit

That is you boot from a floppy disk with the BIOS flash program on it. Then when at the A:\ prompt type in the BIOS name along with the extension (.exe) then a space and then /forceit

c610_a16.exe /forceit
