yes. I think so. I bought on June. I spent $1600 for it. The CPU was died three weeks ago. After replacing CPU, They also found that the memory cards were also died. So I just received the new cards, and replaced the memory cards. The computer started to run on Wed. I updated windows.

what is the problem? Please help me. I have called Dell for three weeks, but they want to me pay fee-based service.

I really hate those things.

Thank you so much. Please help me.

Start with ensuring you're up to date with SP2 and all post-SP2 updates.

Update and scan with your antivirus program.

Update and activate your firewall.

Scan for and remove all spyware.

Hi,

Thank you so much. But I don't know how to "Start with ensuring you're up to date with SP2 and all post-SP2 updates"? Would you please let me know more detail about it?

Also, my computer only run about 2 minutes, then shut down, and then start again. The computer just repeat this process again and again.

By the way, the antivirus program is McAfee

Thanks a lot!

You will need to go to the Windows Update site and download all the critical updates if you have not got your Windows Update programme to Update automatically.

To stop your Windows on shutting down so that you can do the relevant updates etc you need to go to start> run and type in "shutdown -a".

Dear Bacillus,

Thank you very much for your help. I did what you said. The coputer stoped my Windows on shutting down. But the computer couldn't conneted Internet (I am using cable connection).

So, what should I do the next so that I can use the Internet to update software?

Again, many thinks for your advice.
