Make sure the card is inserted correctly. My I6000 sometimes takes a couple of tries to get it to stay in the slot. "Push to insert" and "push to remove" makes it hard to keep it in the slot. Then make sure that autoplay is not the problem by opening Windows Explorer. Press the Windows key with the E key for a shortcut. See if the card shows up there in the list of drives. If possible, try the card on another computer just to make sure it hasn't died.
Hey! Did you find a way to fix your memory card reader/driver? I have the EXACT same laptop as you and the EXACT same problem as you!
About a month ago, everything worked fine. I put my card in, my laptop makes the familiar "ba-DINK" sound, the little light comes on showing me it's working, then a box appears and ask me what I want to do with the pics. NO PROBLEM!
NOW however, the only thing that happens is just the "ba-DINK" sound! Nothing else! PLEASE EMAIL ME AND LET ME KNOW HOW YOU FIXED YOURS. I just took some beautiful photos of my vacation that I want to upload and send to my friends.
