Welcome to the forums Denny :emotion-5:

Does it not mention in the manual whether it supports SDHC or not?

If you don't have/can't find the manual, you can read/download it off the Dell website.

But this Notebook Review forums thread suggests it does support "high capacity" cards?

One forum member states (post # 3 - dated July 2007),  that a 4GB SDHC works in their E1505, which further suggests it recognises SDHC cards :emotion-55:

In the unlikely event it can't read it, you can pick up an external card reader for just a few bucks/couple of quid :emotion-5:

Thanks for the prompt post.  My owners guide does not specifically say that the SDHC cards are supported - see following.

5-IN-1 MEDIA MEMORY CARD READER — Provides a fast and convenient way to view and share digital photos,
music, and videos stored on a media memory card. The 5-in-1 media memory card reader reads the following digital
media memory cards:
• Secure Digital (SD) card/SDIO
• MultiMediaCard (MMC)
•Memory Stick
• Memory Stick PRO
• xD-Picture Card

I appreciate the research of past postings - being a new member, I wasn't sure of how to scan the archives.  It would appear that the card reader will work with the SDHC cards.  I'm going to go ahead and purchase the SDHC card and give it a try.  Thanks again.
