SOS: Double Keypress issue in Dell XPS 13 (2015)

Question

Dear Dell Support Team,

I bough a Dell XPS 13 on 07-May, it is fraught with the double keypress issue. I have waste almost 100 manhours on researching about the topic, upgrading and downgrading the BIOS, but to of no avail. The customer care has replaced my keybboard twice and the sensor beneath once, but to of no avail. It is very disappointing that in such a beautiful masterpiece like XPS 13, the keyboard does not work properly!! Can you please correct this immediately? Also, can you please ask your customer care executives to stop being in denial mode about this probelm, accept it and resolve. It puts me off when your team says that I am typing too fast, it can't get any more lame!!

Hi Ravikar,

Thanks for posting on the Dell Forum.

Have you tried typing with an external keyboard? If that works then the problem would be more of a physical nature and not one of a software issue. Since you have already contacted tech support and received repairs, it's unclear what you are expecting at this point.

Is there any update on this? I have the 9343 with QHD and am running BIOS A04. I still get these issues.

I can tell you it is NOT physical because of the nature of the keys duplicating.

Typing "Hello how are you" will sometimes come out as "hehllo howo are you?u"

You can get tanothher key in thhere. <- the typos here are not typos. this is actually how it typed.

Over on #xps13 on Freenode IRC a user reported his issue to Dell and they sent out a tech to replace his keyboard. Since then, he's had no issues.

As soon as I return to the US from Europe I will be doing the same, except RMA'ing my device entirely since I also have screen blanking issues. Definitely seems I got a lemon.
