SSSSSOOOOOOOSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!

hi there

I have a dell ispiron 1150, one of my hightech knowit all friends, who in the end  know so much that know nothing see a pswd in the bios I suppose and when  the laptop starts I get " THIS COMPUTER SYSTEM FTY1HS61-A95B IS PROYTECTED BY A PASSWORD AUTHENTICATION SYSYTEM YOU CANNOT ACCESS THE DATA ON THIS COMPUTER WITHOUT THE CORRECT PASSWD"  I have tried  reseting the bios by taking off the button cell inside and shorting the terminals but with no luck can any body please help

If your friend can't rememeber the password, he's going to owe you the $50 call to Dell - call, pay the fee, and prove you own the system.  They'll assist you in removing the password.
