STMicro 3-axis digital accelerometer driver

I have a Precision M4700 laptop running Windows 10 Pro x64 anniversary edition.  It has a STMicroelectronics 3-axis digital accelerometer with driver version 2.2.3.8.  Every morning the Dell software tells me the driver is out of date and tries to install a new driver.  It reboots my system, and then tells me that the driver is up to date.  I have tried to manually remove the driver, and then manually reinstall the driver.  This has happened so many times, I am sick of it!

Is there a later version of the driver?  I do not see it on the Dell support site.

Is there a way to let the update software know that it is already up to date, and stop doing this?

The bios is up to date. I have no clue to address this issue.

Thanks,

Hi gagrinds,

Thanks for posting. While I don't usually recommend updating the BIOS unless you are having problems, that may be the solution to this problem.  Please check that you have the latest bios update installed.
