To initiate PSA diagnostics request you to follow the below steps, this checks if the hardware is failed:
(1) Press Fn key and the power button to initiate testing with the PAID features the same as PSA initiation. Or
(2) Remove the battery, hold the power button, and then insert the AC adapter. Use this sequence when the keyboard is not present or not working. If the power button board is not detected when you insert the AC adapter and remove the battery, then testing of the PAID features is initiated in a diagnostics boot. Or
(3) Remove the battery then insert the AC adapter. Use this sequence when the power button board is not detected and therefore not allowing to enter PAID mode testing as expected. The PAID recognizes the power button failure and launches automatically. No other PAID features are tested, but the system does perform a POST and goes straight to the PSA so the power button board detection problem can be highlighted.
I have run the diagnostic check as suggested by Kiran K
The check came up with a 2000-0212Fault and the machine started beeping
Msg Cmos Location38h
Expected AAh Found
Then the foilowing fault codes 4C00-0320, 0F00-133C During the extended test
I was unable to carry out the keyboard test as I have found the Esc key is also a problem key hence I cannot run through the test as it commences with the Esc key
Hence the problem keys are Esc,1, q, a, z (one row on the diagonal
I hope this means something to someone and I can find a solution.

If you've already tried a replacement keyboard, it sounds like it's the keyboard controller that has failed. You'll need to replace the mainboard.
