Safe to Carry Around Notebook in Sleep Mode?

Hi all,
I'm a kind of a person who carries around the notebook by driving about 60 miles daily 4-5 days per week due to accomplishing daily duties.
I keep it on the rear seat fastened with belt while driving.
But I'm wondering if it's safe to do it in sleep mode for components.
Which way is recommended?
Any proper assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Peter

Recommended? I'd say a complete shutdown. However, are you likely to experience any problems with moving the computer while in sleep mode? I say no. Not likely at all. Notebooks are built to withstand some relatively major jolts without causing damage.

I agree with you.
I owned i8500 for almost 4 years until I got a new E1505 two weeks ago.
I'd been carrying it that particular way about a year.
I did not encounter any problem with that system except video card crashed couple of months ago so.
