If you cloned the drive, be sure the first boot thereafter was without the hard drive in the system - once that's done, you can install the old hard drive as you wish. DO NOT boot the system with the new and old drives in the system the first time after cloning.

Lets say hypothetically that I did just that, how would I undo the damage ?
