Scandisk not being read

I have a new XPS 15 laptop and the card reader is not recognizing the pictures on the card.  I did get it to read it last night but today it will not read.

Hi Bawseahorse,

Please reinstall Card reader driver on the system. You will find card reader driver listed under chipset section. Please enter your service tag # on the link below, click on ‘Get drivers and downloads’, select the OS, then download the card reader driver from chipset section onto the system and install it.

Please let me know if this helps.

I downloaded installed and restarted my laptop and it still does not work even trying multiple cards. And the cards do read on other computers so it is not the card.

Hi Bawseahorse,

I would suggest you to update the BIOS, chipset and card reader driver in sequence for issue resolution. Please enter your service tag # on the link below, select the OS, then download the BIOS from BIOS section, Chipset from chipset section and then download the card reader driver from chipset section onto the system and install it.

I followed these directions and it still does not work.  I even went to the Realteck web site and downloaded and even more current driver version and it still does not work.  It will not even read a USB card reader.  What next?
