Screen Dead after fixing slot loaded CD Player
Looking for any help in troubleshooting a failed LCD panel on a Dell Insipron 1318.
After going through the painful exercise of removing a jammed CD from the slot loaded CD/DVD drive (see my post on this here: http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/disk-drives/f/3534/p/19393771/19920222.aspx#19920222 ) I re-assembled the computer and now the LCD panel is no longer working.
If I connect an external monitor everything is great.
Without an external monitor I see a very faint change in the monitor when I first start it up. It goes from pure black, flashes dark grey, and then back to black and stays that way.
Just looking for any random advice on how to get this to work again.
I did open the computer up again and double checked the video cable connector under the keyboard. It seems to be firmly attached.
Thanks in advance!

my best guesses!
1. video cable piched or damaged and needs replaced
2. video cable came loose from back of lcd
3. lcd is bad
