Screen brightness automatically changes
I have recently brought a dell inspiron 15R and I have a problem with the screen brightness. It occasionally dims and then slowly increases brightness until it reaches its original brightness. How do I stop this? It seems random as I can not link it to common things. e.g. it changes when surfing randomly etc.

Hi, verify the power management on the control panel, also verify if is only caused when using the battery without the ac adapter or vice versa, in the worst case is hardware related. Regards.

I'm pretty sure it only occurs on the dell balanced power plan and when the laptop is using the battery without the ac adapter.

Thanks pudgyone,
The only problem is that i don't want my laptop on the high performance power setting all the time. However the problem described in the other thread seems to match my own.

Go to...
Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Power Options\Edit Plan Settings
There is a dim feature. You can change that and see if it helps.
