Screen display options

Hi,

I have recently used the recovery cd and got windows 98. the problem is that when i go to screen display settings I only have the option to use 16 colours and the screen area can only be set to 640 by 480 cos there are no more options. why is this? how can I change it? Please help

It would certainly help to know the specific system model you're referring to, but the short answer is that you need to reinstall your display drivers.  Use the Solutions tab above, then the Reinstall Guides link for instructions on reinstalling all the other things that need to be reinstalled after the operating system.  You'll probably want to be registered/logged into Support under your Service Tag ID, if you want to be able to access system specific Reinstall Guides.
