Sleep Button not working! N5110

Hi, My Sleep button stopped recently. I installed TuneUp Utilities 2013. will this be a problem? There are three buttons on the top right of the key board. First one is working fine but the remaining two are not functioning. when I press them, button is glowing in white for a couple of seconds and nothing happening.

I generally use my lappy to listen to music and while it plays, I used to put the monitor off to save power. But suddenly it stopped working. Is this a hardware problem or something else? I tried restoring the power options but didn't solve the issue. please help.

And my laptop is taking so much (around 15 minutes) for re-booting. Of course I have installed many programs. I make sure to remove all the un-necessary start up programs. I have a 8 GB RAM. But when compared to other laptops, it is taking really huge time to start! Any suggestions ??

Thanks in advance!

Hi Rajesh,

Thanks for the reply.

It addressed my problem. after re-installing the quickset, the sleep button is now working.

The boot up time reduced to 7 Minutes from 15 minutes after disabling the Load startup options and other non-microsoft programs.

Thanks a lot for solutions!

BUT,

My touch pad is not responding to the Pinch/ZoomIn/ZoomOut functions. It is a multiTouch Touch pad and it is not working now. Its behaving just like a single touch pad now.

Do you think it is because the newly installed "R314287.exe" driver?

It is okay for me if Sleep button doesn't work. But Multi Touch pad is very important for me.

Kindly help.

Thank you.
