Sleep mode/Power issues with Inspiron N5110
Hello all.
I have an Inspiron N5110 that is just over a month old. The past few days when I've put the computer into sleep mode/standby it seems to go into the state fine, except the status lights for power and wi-fi stay on steady and the light behind the power button stays on steady. Usually the wi-fi status light turns off and the power status and power button light do a slow on and off pulsing when in sleep mode. The display, fan, and hard drive are definitely turned off, but the lights staying on steady is strange.
Then when I try to bring it out of sleep mode, it won't wake up. The computer won't respond no matter what I do. The only thing that works is to hold down the power button for a few seconds which shuts down the computer. Then when I start it back up, about half the time it says the computer shut down unexpectedly.
The same thing happens when I try to hibernate as well.
Finally, when I do a normal shutdown from the start menu the power status, wi-fi status, and power button lights all stay on steady after shutdown as well, unless I take the battery out or hold down the power button again.
Up until yesterday the computer has been running perfectly fine. This just started happening out of the blue.
If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this or needs more info, please let me know.
