Smartcard reading problem
If i got a credit card with a smartcard chip on it how can I use it? I tired putting it in every way I could think, but it just does nothing. Do i need get software, since I don't think it's on the resource CD. There are drivers for the smartcard, which i installed but still, nothing is detected. I think something should happen when i put it in...or is it not plug and play?

I have posted on this before, but to briefly repeat--yes you need software for the particular smart card. I use the AMEX Blue SC and it works just fine. Of course, the next question -- so what?

I just acquired ActivCard Smart Card 32K (A0100728) from dell. Then acquied ActivCard Gold 2.3 from FTP Server via ActivCard Support!
Works like a champ, in my Latitude D800
Have FUN!
