Spider under the keyboard!!!
Yeah it happened in front of my eyes. A little spidey of about 1cm walked on the keyboard of my XPS1530 laptop and suddenly disappeared under the keys. I tried to blow it but it didn't come out. I used a vacuum cleaner and hopefully got rid of it. My question is: Is there a hole/passage under the keyboard that leads to the interior of the laptop? I mean when an insect/spider were to crawl underneath the keyboard like yesterday, could it reach the mainboard and possibly damage it?
How about pouring a liquid onto the keyboard? I am sure the laptop gets damaged when you did that...?
Oz.

Aye... they're cans of compressed air... sometimes called "Air Duster"'s or "Spray Duster"'s.
They're available in different sizes - i.e. 400ml/12oz, and cost will depend on the size of can you buy.
Here're a few examples:
It should be noted that they get very cold, due to the pressuried compressed air, so either wear a glove when you use it, +/or use it in short burts!

Thank you for the spray suggestion, I wasn't aware of that kind of cleaners.
And... "franbo57 wrote: Just try to view the spider as 24 hour on-site tech support for your laptop." That is a good point :smileyhappy:
