Sticky Ctrl/Shift/Alt keys

I have a new Dell D820 with Windows XP Professional.

Regardless of whether I use an external keyboard or the built-in keyboard, the Ctrl, Shift, and Alt keys randomly stick. I have to press them again to un-stick them. It probably happens every 20th time I press one of the modifier keys, but that's frequently enough to be very annoying to me (I type all day long). For example, if I press Ctrl-V to paste something and then I type the word "the", Windows sees "Ctrl-t, Ctrl-h, Ctrl-e".

I'm confident it's a software problem because it happens with both keyboards, and I've been using this external keyboard for years. Obviously I've rebooted multiple times and installed the latest version fo Dell Quickset (released 4/24). Has anyone seen this problem? Is Dell working on a fix? Does anyone read this?

Also, this is definitely a hardware problem on the built-in keyboard: the 0 (zero) key is more difficult to press than the other keys. Disappointing.

I also have this problem. I've only had it happen to the CTRL key and when it does stick i have to reboot the laptop to get it unstuck, pressing the key doesnt release it.
