Stop Error

I have at work a new (few months old) Dell Latitude E6500.  I am using both SQL Server 2000 and 2005 and whenever I spend a certain amount of time in SQL 2005, I get a "Blue Screen of Death" (BSOD) and I have to shut down and reboot.  The Windows message I receive after I reboot says I have a problem with a driver, but when I run the Driver Reset Tool, it says no faults are found.  I have updated all the drivers and still no luck.

One of our IT personnel here says it may be Control Point and that I would need to wipe out the hard drive and install a different version of XP without Control Point to fix the problem.  Could this be the problem?  I really don't want to do that as it takes the better part of a couple of days to do that and I have been through that so many times with my last laptop (Latitude 810) I was sort of hoping their is an easier fix.

The error I get on the BSOD is this:

STOP: 0xc0000008E(0xc0000005, 0xBF8E848E, 0x9c27A868, 0x00000000)
