Switching from Legacy to UEFI for Windows 8
Hello,
My Latitude e5430 (non vpro) comes with Windows 7 x64 and I already own an upgrade licence for Windows 8 Pro. BIOS is curently set to Legacy.
I want to install Windows 8 with UEFI, but I since it is upgrade only, I guess I will have to install Windows 7 on UEFI and then upgrade.
I don't know what to do and I need your help..
Thanks!

Switch from BIOS to UEFI, then install Windows 8.
Tutorial: Upgrade MBR boot disk to EFI boot disk.

Thank you for the link. However, the thread also doesn't provide a tested solution. There are two things I need to clarfiy:
1. Do I have to install Win7 first in order to be able to install my upgrade licence?
2. If so, how can I boot my Win7 DVD in EFI mode?

1. Yes.
2. It has to be done from a GPT-setup flash drive (you cannot do it from a DVD).
The link had instructions for preparing a GPT install flash drive from a Windows 7 ISO file.
