Touchpad does not work with "do nothing" command
I have an Inspirion 3147. My touchpad becomes glitchy when I close the lid and reopen. I narrowed it down to this specific instance. I have it set for "do nothing" when I close the lid. I checked a variety of forums, and I could not find a resolution. I have attempted to reinstall drivers (including BIOS) several times, but no improvement. Based on the forums I researched, this appears to have been a problem for some time with many laptops.

eric,
Try changing the system from Clamshell mode to Tent/Tablet stand/Tablet mode, then change it back to Clamshell mode Also. if you have not download the A02 Bios, you will want to instal it.
