Transfer programs from old computer to new.
I am transitioning from my old Windows XP machine to a new Dell Inspiron 15 Windows 7 computer. How do I
move/copy my programs from the old machine to the new one?

For some simple programs that don't require registry entries and don't have an installer, maybe.
For anything else - such as Office or most applications - no -- the programs need to be reinstalled on the new system using the original media (CD/DVD or installer file).
You may also find you need to update or upgrade some programs to have them work with the newer OS.
