Turn on NUMLOCK

I have a Dell Latitude CPx running WindowsME. I am currently using it with an external keyboard, and it works fine. I would like to have NUMLOCK remain on when I reboot. I opened Setup (F2 at boot) where I think I need to change "NUMLOCK disabled" to "NUMLOCK enabled". However, next to that entry in setup are instructions about "Docked" and "Undocked" which I do not understand. Should I choose "docked" or "undocked" or should I simply leave that alone, and only change "NUMLOCK disabled" to "NUMLOCK enabled"? Thank you for your help.
