USB 3.0

Question

Since the USB 3.0 ports are identify the its blue color, and all my USB ports are blue. So why does it show like this when i connect  the flash memory to USB port on my Dell Laptop Inspiron 14R 5420?

Hello Pagna,

Please help me understand if you are connecting a USB 2.0 Flash drive to the USB 3.0 port on the computer. If we connect a USB 2.0 Flash drive to a USB 3.0 port, the USB 3.0 port will be able to read the USB 2.0 device as it is backward compatible. However, the transfer speed would be as USB 2.0. Hence in order to get the high rate of transfer speed, we need to connect a USB 3.0 device to the USB 3.0 port.
