USB GPS not recognized

Hello, I have a 5150 I am trying to run CoPilot on but it wont recognize the GPS. I plug the USB in and it wants to install software for a Motorola Comp Modem, in Device drivers it shows up under modem. This GPS unit is a Rikaline GPS-6010 reciever, it requires no drivers.  It has been running in my 8000 Inspiron fine for years but that one now has a broken screen. Both machines run XP. Any help would be appreciated. BTW The USB ports are fine, it recognized my 10" touchscreen LCD fine.
